PRACTICAL EDGE
The 20-Page PDF That Starts Your Business
WHY IT WORKS:
The internet made it possible to be a micro-expert. You do not need a category. You need one narrow thing you know cold and the people who want to know it too. Vitalii Dodonov said it best on this week's episode. The easiest thing to sell is your time, and the second easiest is a 20-page PDF that documents what you already know. He walks through it here around the 19:45 mark, and you can see how he does it himself on his own Stan page.
This will not make you a millionaire. Hell, it may not even make you $100, but it could make you that first dollar on the internet. Daniel Berk put it best on last week's episode. The moment a stranger you will never meet pays you, something permanent changes in how you see yourself. Then you go do it again. He is right, and I would add one thing. It is addictive.
Write the thing you explain on calls every week, put it on a store like Stan, and post about it. You can have it live by Sunday night. Charge what you want, get one person to buy it, and you are now a paid Creator! The journey has begun.
THE DATA SUPPORTS IT:
Morning Consult surveyed more than 2,000 US adults and found that 57% of Gen Z would become a creator if given the chance, and 41% of all adults said the same. It is one of the most sought-after jobs in the country, and the reason is that a micro-following is now a real asset. Goldman Sachs sized the creator economy at roughly $250 billion and projected it to approach $480 billion by 2027. It is easier to be part of this than you think.
Here is what people underestimate. The internet is enormous, and the small thing you are great at is exactly what someone else is searching for tonight. The dad who cracked travel sports schedules and team budgets. The player who can teach a specific game better than anyone. The parent with a system for the college financial aid forms. The nurse with a night shift routine that works. The woodworker with the cut list. None of that feels like expertise to the person who owns it. All of it is worth paying for.
The best part is that none of this is age-bound. You can be 15 with something other 15-year-olds want, or 80 with something other 80-year-olds want. The narrower the thing you know, the better this works.
HOW I USE IT:
Full disclosure, I have not done this yet. I am stealing it straight from Vitalii, and writing this section is my own challenge to go do it. Pick the thing I actually know cold, write it down, and put it out into the universe. That is an exciting thing to have on the calendar.
THE WEEKEND CHALLENGE
→Pick the question you answer most. The one friends and colleagues keep asking you.
→Write 20 pages. Your real playbook, steps included. One afternoon.
→Put it up. Ten dollars is a fine price. Free is also a great answer, because giving it away builds the audience you sell to later.
→Tell the story. Post why you wrote it and who it is for. That is your distribution.
If you have been waiting for the right moment to start something, this is it, and it could start this weekend.
